Founder
Satya Sara Das is a disciple of His Holiness Romapada Swami. Since 2018, he has been serving as the Temple President of the Hare Krishna Temple of Austin (ISKCON of Cedar Park). With over two decades of experience in various management roles within ISKCON, he has made significant contributions to temple operations, book distribution, and congregation development initiatives. Currently, the Hare Krishna Temple of Austin serves a vibrant congregation of approximately 460 people, fostering spiritual growth, community engagement, devotional practices and bhakti life. In 2015, he founded the Austin Vedic University an institution that bridges ancient Vedic wisdom—primarily from the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam as taught by Srila Prabhupada —with modern education and research. To date, more than 500 students have studied Vedic literature through this university, with over 100 students currently enrolled in various programs. Under the guidance of his spiritual master and other esteemed ISKCON leaders, Satya Sara Das also established the Bhakti Ashram (Bhakti House) near the University of Texas at Austin. This center serves as a sanctuary for mainstream Western students, providing opportunities to explore Krishna consciousness, practice a Bhakti lifestyle, yoga, kirtan, engage in devotional service, and pursue their education in a spiritually enriching environment.

Amiya Radhika, originally from India, migrated with her parents to the United States at the age of 9. This major shift in her life was impactful and lead her on a quest for her identity. After completing high school she was introduced to Yoga, and this practice deeply resonated with her. Initially, the yoga practice was focused on the physical aspects of yoga, though eventually it lead her to seek after deeper truths of existence. While pursuing the yogic natural lifestyle and simultaneously studying in University, she also began searching for answers to life. She felt her University education was not sufficient in satisfying her queries. She tried many paths eventually finding her way to the Bhagavad Gita, which yet again resonated with her and finally resolved the mysteries of life! She completed her Bachelor's from the University of Florida in Nutritional Sciences and moved into an Ashram (monastery) immediately thereafter! She lived as a "monkette" for 5 years serving in various capacities and also traveling across country several times. She recently got married and moved with her Husband to Austin, Texas to serve as a Bhakti House Director. Our Inspiration
Srila Prabhupada is a saint who dedicated his life to sharing Krishna Consciousness with others. At the age of 69, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean with three heart attacks and a stroke. At that time the ocean became very still and the captain said he had not seen anything like that to ensure the divine message of the Bhagavad Gita would reach the Western Countries.
Srila Prabhupada’s sincerity, faith and compassion spoke to those who met him. As many people recount, they felt he did not want anything in return except to make people happy. The love he exhibited for all souls manifested in an international movement for self realization and Krishna Consciousness. Due to his efforts, now millions of people are taking to this ancient wisdom across the world and continue to inspire others to transform their lives and become happy.
