We envision Bhakti House as a dynamic spiritual center in the heart of the city, grounded in the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Vedas. Our mission is to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment where individuals from all backgrounds can engage in the practice of Bhakti Yoga, cultivate authentic community, pursue meaningful personal growth, and access enduring inner peace within the context of contemporary life.

Our Mission

Bhakti House is a nurturing community based in Austin, Texas where seekers can embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Our mission is to provide a sacred space, an ashrama, that integrates the practices of Bhakti Yoga and Krishna Consciousness empowering individuals to connect with their higher self and the world around them through practicing loving service unto the Divine.

Bhakti House is inspired by and based upon the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who shared the authentic and genuine teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Srila Prabhupada

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977) is the founder acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). He brought the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and the wisdom of the Vedic scriptures to the West, inspiring millions to take up the path of Bhakti Yoga.

Srila Prabhupada dedicated his life to spreading the mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and sharing the authentic and genuine teachings of Bhakti Yoga worldwide. Through his books, lectures, and personal example, he taught the universal message of love of God, known as Krishna Consciousness.
